Gen says, “I was inspired to create this piece while on a trip to my grandmother's house in Tamaulipas, Mexico. My grandmother's home is fenced with hundreds of cactus and during my visit last spring, they were all in bloom. Cactus is a huge staple in my grandmother's home, she cooks delicious meals with them almost daily. It was such a beautiful sight to see for something that I've always just thought of as a tasty meal on my grandmother's table.”
