The idea of this work came from Septian's spontaneous drawing that he does as his personal therapy. In his words, 'the gesture unconsciously comes to mind, representing my feeling while I was always trying to keep going under the unsolved burden surrounding me. Vile Vestige tells about how I tried to keep doing my stuffs with all the remnants I had from things happened in the past.'
Tian is an artist based in Indonesia. He is inspired by the natural form of secretive geometrical gestures, the ultimate beauty art nouveau that was widely brought into the world by Alphonse Mucha, to the very unreal form of classical work by Albrecht Dürer and Gustave Doré.
